2017 Refugee Resilience AwardsEach year the San Diego Refugee Forum recognizes a select number of refugees and asylees/asylum seekers in our community who have demonstrated resilience in their journey to and within the United States.
Resiliency has been defined as the “process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress and "bouncing back" from difficult experiences.” This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of refugees and asylees/asylum seekers in our community. |
Nomination FormAt the forum meeting on June 20, 2017, we will honor refugees and asylees/asylum seekers nominated by forum members. We are asking each forum member (organization or individual) to nominate one individual who is a refugee or asylee/asylum seekers who has been in the United States for five years or less.
Nominations are now closed. |
