The San Diego Refugee Forum provides organizations and individuals in San Diego with the opportunities and tools needed to advocate for, educate and empower persons fleeing from war and persecution.

The San Diego Refugee Forum works to assure the most efficient use of available resources to accomplish the purpose of the organization by:

  • Facilitating networking of organizations in San Diego providing services to persons fleeing from war and persecution.
  • Increasing awareness and educating the San Diego community about persons fleeing from war and persecution, and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
  • Advocating for persons fleeing from war and persecution and providing information about and influencing legislative and policy decisions at all levels of government that affect these persons.

"Make Yourself Count!" census advoacy intitiative:
Help achieve a 'complete count' in the 2010 census to ensure San Diego's refugee communities receive their fair share of resources allocated based on census data. Stipends are available for 'outreach workers' of Refugee Forum member organizaions. Get details.

International Night of Networking was great success in connecting refugee professionals with leading employers in San Diego.
